Found the truck I was after, price was agreed upon and it took forever to get the paperwork done. I told them I didn’t want to listen to the sales pitch for all of the additional items. I think requiring $80 took forever to get the paperwork done. I told them I didn’t want to listen to the sales pitch for all of the additional items. I think requiring $800 for a blinking brake light and vehicle tracker is ridiculous. Telling em that I have to purchase it is not a good way to earn business. Present the options to the customer and let them decide, don’t be pushy or deceptive. I believe this starts from management/policy. There are customers that want that experience and customers that don’t. When I told them to expedite the process as I had other obligations it took them a couple of times to listen. If you want to establish a solid customer base treat them with respect, value their time and be HONEST with them. More

First, my sales person was super helpful and accommodating to my specific needs, so this review does not reflect on them. I bought the vehicle from 250 miles away, and the sales person made that accommodating to my specific needs, so this review does not reflect on them. I bought the vehicle from 250 miles away, and the sales person made that part very easy. I had been in an auto accident and had a concussion where loud noise, stimulation, and cognition triggered symptoms. I asked for a smooth process. Had agreed to everything in advance, wasn't buying warranties, or service contracts, or anything. I wanted to be able to show up, look at the truck to verify it was what I was buying, and then sign and leave to accommodate my medical need. That is not what happened. I got to the dealer, saw the truck with the sales person, and was ready to sign. The sales person took me to a quieter space, which I appreciated, where I waited for the paperwork to show up. I signed the offer sheet, but then the first issue was I was told the wrong interest rate of 3.99 for 60 months. That was apparently only for certified used Escapes. Ok, I knew there was a 4.49 for 60 through Ford for trucks. Fine, just do that. They leave, and a person then comes back to ask me more about financing and says he can probably beat that with a credit union if I unfreeze my credit again. Ok, I did that on my phone, it started escalating my concussive symptoms right then. He leaves, comes back again to then talk to me about service contracts. I had already said no to those prior to arriving. He says ok, leaves and comes back again to then talk to me about warranty options. I had already said no to those. By now, I had been waiting over an hour to just sign the papers I was told were going to be ready when I got there, and I was deep into my concussive symptoms. My son was with me, and had he not been there to help me at that point, I would have walked out and probably made a scene doing it, since one of my ongoing symptoms is emotional regulation and irritability. The guy comes back again, and this time I flat out tell him I'm done that I came to sign the papers and leave, and I was not interested in having any further conversation with him. He leaves and tells me someone will come get me for the signatures. I wait again, this time a guy comes to take me to an office where he has the stack of paperwork to sign. I just happened to catch when signing the financing sheet that the interest rate says 4.99 now, which was not what was discussed. It was 4.24 through a credit union in Idaho. He initially tells me how it is right, and I hold firm and he gets on the computer and confirms his error. I finally sign and am ready to leave, but I am so deep into a concussion headache and dizziness that I had to leave the dealership and park in a parking lot down the street for an hour to sit in quiet and reset. That should not have happened that way. The sales person did go out to the truck with me too, I should add, and set the truck up on my phone app for me, which I was not able to do at the time, and I appreciated that. They were apologetic for the experience I'd had. I asked for what were akin to ADA accommodations for a documented medical condition in the purchasing process, and what I got was typical hard sell from a dealer trying to stack on a bunch of stuff I didn't want or need, even after I had already said I was not interested. They tried to take advantage of me with a condition that clearly impacted my processing ability, which I told them in advance and asked for accommodations and was assured they could do it. The financing snafu not once but twice is also concerning. I love the truck, or I wouldn't have driven clear across the state to get it, but I would not do business with Corwin again after this experience. I don't blame the sales person one bit, but management failed repeatedly in this transaction. More
