All it takes is to take a copy of desired plate to send to Secretary of States office. They would not do it. I ended up with the bad state of Illinois generic license plate that will cost me an additional $200 to change in a few months. That is bad customer service b They also were intent on selling me “tire protection” which I did not want on the vehicle. The other thing I did not like was all the free advertising they expect me to do with my vehicle. They put a dealership sticker in back tailgate, front and back dealer license plate frames and dealer floor mats all of which were removed and thrown away.
