I purchased a Mopar 5-Year/150,000-Mile Maximum Care extended warranty to protect my investment and have peace of mind if problems arose. Unfortunately, when I actually needed warranty service, Greeley extended warranty to protect my investment and have peace of mind if problems arose. Unfortunately, when I actually needed warranty service, Greeley CDJR (formerly Mike Shaw RAM) failed to deliver. My RAM ProMaster currently has multiple issues that should be diagnosed and repaired under the Maximum Care warranty, including: • A leaking transmission cover/gasket. • A backup camera that displays a reversed image with interference lines across the screen. • A serpentine belt tensioner that is noisy on cold starts. • A cabin blower motor that changes speeds on its own while in manual mode. • A blind spot monitoring system that randomly disables itself. • Intermittent emergency warning system errors. What has been most frustrating is the lack of meaningful diagnostics and accountability. The service department repeatedly tells me they cannot find any current issues or that there is nothing to repair. Regarding the transmission leak, I was essentially told they do not consider it a problem requiring repair, despite visible evidence of fluid leaking from the transmission cover. Regarding the backup camera, I was told the issue is covered by a recall that has supposedly been open for nearly two years, but that there are still no replacement parts available. In the meantime, I am expected to continue driving a commercial vehicle with a backup camera that displays a reversed image and interference lines—an obvious safety concern. Instead of receiving proper diagnostics and warranty repairs, I have spent my own time returning to the dealership, explaining the same problems over and over while my warranty continues to get closer to expiration. These are not cosmetic concerns. They involve the transmission, electrical systems, HVAC, and multiple safety-related features of the vehicle. This is exactly why I purchased Mopar's highest level of extended warranty coverage. Customers should not have to fight for warranty coverage they paid thousands of dollars to purchase. Nor should they be told that obvious problems either don't exist, aren't serious enough to repair, or cannot be fixed because parts have been unavailable for years. My experience with Greeley CDJR's has left me with very little confidence in their service department and has raised serious concerns about how RAM and Mopar stand behind their products and warranty commitments.
