I am deeply disappointed to share that my most recent service experience at Feldman Chevrolet of Livonia has been the most challenging I have ever en I am deeply disappointed to share that my most recent service experience at Feldman Chevrolet of Livonia has been the most challenging I have ever encountered with any dealership. Before my appointment, I called the service department to confirm the process and was informed that my vehicle would need to be left on-site for a complete diagnostic evaluation. Understanding this, I proactively rented a car from the Enterprise location next door, an unexpected expense totaling approximately $500, so that Feldman could complete a comprehensive inspection of my SUV. Unfortunately, not only did I not receive the full inspection, but Colin also asked the guy driving my vehicle up to the service counter if I needed an oil change, and he said yes. It says on the glass 04/29/2025, and we are now in November, so that was obvious to expect, but I also received my vehicle back in worse condition than when I dropped it off. My vehicle was brought in for three basic concerns: An oil change, a serious issue with the car slowing down on the freeway, and a lack of windshield wiper fluid. I was later contacted by a representative, Colin, with an estimate exceeding $1,200 for an electrical issue. I was told the $190 diagnostic fee would be applied toward this repair. However, when I asked whether the oil change had been completed or whether basic fluids and maintenance checks had been performed, I was informed that they had not. Upon picking up my vehicle, I discovered two tires with low pressure and multiple new alerts, including issues with the key fob, remote battery, and other system warnings that were not present before my appointment. This added to my concern that my vehicle had not been properly serviced or handled with care. The communication issues further compounded the situation. I have phone screenshots and timestamps showing my attempts to contact the dealership. On Friday, I called ahead and was told I could retrieve my vehicle shortly after closing, as staff were typically present. I drove nearly 50 minutes only to find the facility completely closed, wasting time and fuel and adding to my frustration. I attempted multiple times to contact my sales representative, Mr. Pettway, who either did not answer or did not return my calls. Only after providing him with the timestamp did he acknowledge the missed call, even though I left a voicemail, which I can verify, as all my calls are recorded. I returned on Saturday for pick-up, and it was a total waste of time, money, and energy. Both the sales and service teams have fallen short of the customer care and professionalism standards I expect, especially from a dealership I have trusted for years and have referred many customers to. My referral record demonstrates that my recommendations have led to multiple GM vehicle purchases. Sadly, after this experience, I can no longer, in good conscience, recommend Feldman Chevrolet of Livonia to friends, family, or colleagues. I am sharing this feedback not only out of frustration, but also out of genuine hope that no other customer will have to endure the same challenges. I have always valued the GM brand and the quality of service it represents. I hope this situation can be addressed so that customers like myself can regain confidence in the dealership and its commitment to service excellence.
