The problems actually started before I even left the dealership. I was prepared to purchase the vehicle without financing, but they would not allow me to use my debit card, write a check, or pay cash. I was told that if I wanted the Jeep, I had to finance it because I was from out of state. I ended up financing a vehicle that I was prepared to pay for because they would not give me another option. Unfortunately, things did not get better after the sale. The finance manager, Josh, later called me and said paperwork was being overnighted to me because he forgot to give it to me. It never arrived. I called about a week later, and he seemed surprised that I had not received it and told me it would be sent that evening. Nothing came. I still have never received those documents or even been told what they were for, despite asking. I completed my required Indiana VIN inspection and emailed it to the dealership on July 14. I heard nothing, so I followed up on July 17. General Sales Manager Lou Lopez responded that he had forwarded it to their license and title person. On August 6, I contacted Lou again. I specifically asked whether anything was still needed from me or whether there was anything that could delay my title or registration. I received no response. On August 14, 44 days after purchasing the Jeep, I called the Indiana BMV myself. They checked their system and told me they have nothing showing that my title or registration paperwork has been received or submitted. Tomorrow will be 45 days since I purchased the vehicle, and I still do not have my Indiana title, registration, or permanent plates. There have been other issues too. The Jeep came with only one key. The charger for the 4xe was missing, along with the power box and tools to remove roof/doors on Wrangler. An OEM extra key alone is around $400, and I have had to purchase items that I expected to come with the vehicle. Communication after the purchase has been terrible, and I have spent an unreasonable amount of time calling, emailing, and trying to figure out things that should have been handled by the dealership. I have now contacted the Indiana BMV and filed an official complaint with the Illinois Secretary of State regarding the title and registration issue. I also have copies of the emails documenting my attempts to get this resolved. If you are considering buying here, especially if you live outside Illinois, I wouldn’t do it. I learned my lesson thinking I was getting a deal for $3K less. HA, what a joke. Between the missing key, missing accessories, financing I did not want, and now the title and registration mess, it has absolutely not been worth it. Just run far away from this shady xxx dealership!! I should not be 45 days into owning a vehicle wondering where my title paperwork is after repeatedly trying to get answers from the dealership. I would never purchase another vehicle from this dealership. More
