My name is Lawrence Whitley I traveled from St. Louis to Ziegler Dodge in Schaumburg, IL. to buy a truck. Marc Keenan was our salesman that showed us two Dodge Trucks and had a good knowledge of the vehicle Ziegler Dodge in Schaumburg, IL. to buy a truck. If I would recommend anyone to Zeigler I would recommend them to contact Marc. I explained to Sales manager James King that my truck was totaled & I had the payoff from my insurance plus certain funds to purchase one of two trucks, and was it worth me making a 320 mile trip for one of these trucks he replied, we'll work it out. When we begin paperwork I got hit with an unexpected $2039.00 worth of charges & fees, and didn't get the paperwork needed to register the truck in Missouri. Price not as advertised The car was advertised for $12,750. I liked the car and I made an offer of 12,500 as $250 discount was given by setting up an appointment with them. The sales person Marc Kennan told me that the actual price of the vehicle is $15,240 as they are charging $1,495 for PREP FEE, and $995 HANDLING. Those are some made up fees by them. When asked, they said that PREP FEE was a fee for them to having car inspected by Hyundai dealer (why would they do that if they have their own service), which makes no sense at all. The Handling fee, they referred as fee for the car being on their lot. I bought a total of 6 cars in my life, and I've never experienced anything like that. I will give my business to someone else that is not trying to scam me like that. I just wanted to share my own experience from today 05/16/2020. Be aware! More
