Bottom line, I purchased a car on 9/26, but I learned the DMV department at the dealer didn't get the paperwork until 10/17, three weeks after the purchase. They got the paperwork out 10/21 and I received fr DMV department at the dealer didn't get the paperwork until 10/17, three weeks after the purchase. They got the paperwork out 10/21 and I received from them the license, registration, etc today 11/5, a reasonable 2 week turnaround. My temporary plate expired 10/25 so I was unable to drive for days. Clearly the problem started with the initial processing of my paperwork on 9/26, not with the dealer's DMV department. I escalated this situation up to the Pinebelt owner during this time but because of the initial delay, nature had to take its course. Bottom line- if a dealer can't handle the paperwork with precision, how can I be sure they know how to change the oil? One more thing- the windshield washer reservoir was not filled. I do like the car though! More
