Left the dealership happy, 180 the next business day My wife and I have been looking for a Volkswagen Golf TDI Sportwagen for sometime. We had found one that we were interested in at Strong VW and decide My wife and I have been looking for a Volkswagen Golf TDI Sportwagen for sometime. We had found one that we were interested in at Strong VW and decided to go check the car out. We really enjoyed the car and were interested. It was Saturday night and it was closing time, we were still unsure on a purchase and my wife and I wanted to discuss it further. The online price was $17,900 which the salesman showed me and he even showed me what monthly payments would look like. We asked Matt if we could think about it and let him know Monday. He said that would not be a problem. Later that night I showed my Grandfather the VW we were looking at, only to see the price had increased $2500. It was now listed for $20,400. Upon contacting them Monday morning with an interest in buying the car, I received this response, "dang...should have jumped on it Saturday." I don't know if they thought this was humorous, but it was not to my wife and I. We are recent college grads with a new baby, and I am a first year teacher. I feel that taking time to make sure a car fits in our budget is quite understandable. I was told this price increase was because they were handed a large shop bill. They have had this car since Nov. 8th. Why is it going through the shop Dec. 16th? Why would they post a price online without it going through the shop? They said the bill was processed Saturday night. The service center was closed when I left. We are talking an hour after I left the price increased $2500?? While both Salespeople I worked with were friendly, I can only say I left with an absolutely sour taste in my mouth. Even if the shop situation is absolutely true, why kind of car selling practice is that? Post a car on the lot, put a price on it, then run it through the shop later? Terrible experience. More

I was greeted at the door by a very pleasant gentlemen and quickly given a tour of the grounds where the car I was seeking was waiting. Everyone was polite and very helpful. We reluctantly turned in our previous Jetta Sportwagen TDI because VW's deal was too good to turn down. Matt and his assistant Christine were extremely helpful in assisting us in selecting a new VW Alltrack. We felt we got a very good deal on our new car, working with Matt and Christine made buying a car a pleasurable experience. I would advise anyone interested in buying a VW to go see Matt and Christine at Strong VW. Of all the VW dealers in the valley Strong had the greatest selection and we believe the best prices.
