Matt is great to work with; however, the Service Center leaves much to be desired. I spoke with the Parts Dept., originally, to order windshield trim for my Prius. I was told they didn't to that and to c leaves much to be desired. I spoke with the Parts Dept., originally, to order windshield trim for my Prius. I was told they didn't to that and to contact a glass replacement company. I did so, and set up an appointment, only to be told they don't replace trim, only glass. Back to Gettel Parts Dept. who ordered the part and set up install appointment for 8/23. Dropped off car only to be told the ordered part was incorrect, and they'd need to order correct part. Left Prius overnight. Picked up car the next day. Replacement trim didn't match original, but was told that's was they use. Not happy. Found out we needed to make a long (1000 miles) drive and set an appointment for a "multi-point inspection" for 8/26. Needed front brakes and a couple bulbs. Told them to go ahead and take care of that. When I picked up the car I noticed an additional charge for a "Full synthetic oil change" which I DID NOT approve. The previous oil change was done at Gulf Auto Clinic, which is where I always take my cars. They weren't able to check the car before I needed to leave, so I brought it to Gettel. I had put 2,377 miles on the car since the previous change, yet Gettel, without checking the condition of the oil nor getting my approval, took it upon themselves to pad the bill with an additional $75.05. Shady business practice. When I questioned the charge, I was told they check THEIR records and it'd been a LONG time since my last oil change ... assuming that I'd only allow them to change the oil. Only under desperate circumstances will I return to Gettel. More
