Kevin, I bought this 2016 Silverado down the road from your dealership used at Wallingford auto park, 14 days after the warranty expired the transmission started acting up, auto park would not do anything to fix it for free but offered a discount on parts and labor, having dealt with Jerry's Transmissions before in the early 90's when racing SK modifieds , they did work on my 89 Chevy Silverado, their reputation for quality work and knowledge of transmissions is second to none, so I decided to bring them the truck, They tested the truck and deemed that the transmission needed a rebuild or replacement, evidently the transmissions cannot be rebuilt and a replacement was in order. I gave the ok and they purchased a transmission from your dealership, I have been made aware that the 2016 transmissions have had a troublesome reputation, it is not unheard of to have a new rebuilt develop problems after a install, but I fully expected it to last more than the 14,000 miles it had on it, before failing again. Now let's get to why I brought it to your dealership, I brought it to your dealership after speaking to Brian Dostie, I brought the truck back to him and he test drove the truck and put a code reader on it and it came up with a couple of codes, there was indeed a problem with the transmission, Brian was going in for knee surgery and said that if I could I could bring it to your dealership to have it checked and fixed as he would be out of work for a while due to his surgery and I would possibly get it back faster, Brian relayed the information to your service department regarding his findings and the codes for the problems he found, I was to drop the truck off and all would be taken care of. I spoke to a Max Pieper in the service department and when explaining the circumstances I really wasn't assured he knew anything about what was going on with the truck from Jerry's, I explained what was going on with the truck and I got this feeling they were going to do their own thing , I was told they were backed up and it could be a long wait before they could get to the truck ,I inquired if there was a courtesy vehicle available to which the response was none available, being the holiday time we made due. Max did stay in touch sending me a picture of a electrical connection with some oil in it and letting me know that the transmission oil was 2 quarts low , which 2 days prior when I checked it it was fine and parking in the same spots at work and at home there were no puddles or stains underneath, so know I get a text that the truck is fine now and that the problem is a thermal bypass valve, when picking up the truck I am being told that I need to drive the truck longer to get the transmission fluid to temperature and also for the transmission to remember? or load codes? sounded like I was being schooled, since when does a 1/4 mile trip downtown turn into a 5 mile trip, regardless, the truck is right back to doing what it was doing before the thermal bypass valves was installed, so I am out $ 1287.69 dollars and I still have the same problem. I will be bringing the truck back to Jerry's and hopefully Brian can get this straightened out. Regards, Eddie Turner
