Shady deals, last minute price switches and RUDE The salesman was nice enough. He was willing to negotiate and try to make the deal happen. With checkbook in hand, we were able to work out a favora The salesman was nice enough. He was willing to negotiate and try to make the deal happen. With checkbook in hand, we were able to work out a favorable price and the salesman assured me that it being the last day of the year, and schumacher being the largest dealer in the area there was NO WAY I would be able to score a better deal elsewhere. After hours of negotiating back and forth, the salesman presented me with a solid price after discussing with his manager (Written in HIGHLIGHTER, which does not show up on a photocopy. SKETCHY TACTIC. BEWARE.). I signed the paperwork excited to seal the deal and drive away in my new Subaru. While waiting to go in the back and discuss financing and make payment- the shifty sales manager (Mike Caputo) showed up with a NEW contract in hand, and reneged on the previous deal. He said he would "make it easy on me" and that I could accept his new price (several thousands higher) or not. I stated I would not take his new 'deal' as it was not what we agreed upon, and he stormed off with all the paperwork immediately. All previously discussed prices were now hiked to the tune of several thousands of dollars, and all paperwork with my signatures and personal information were taken away from me. The salesman immediately sulked off to a nearby computer, and we were ignored for the next 10 minutes left to wonder what the xxxx was going on. Once we realized we were not going to be helped any longer, we approached the salesman- who no longer had any interest in speaking with us (and whos demeanor had changed entirely after the manager killed the deal). He explained that that was the price, and there was nothing else to be discussed. We thanked him for his time, confused and disoriented in what had just happened, and left. We will still be buying a Subaru, it wont be from Schumacher. Take your business elsewhere, this dealer is as shady as they come. More

She is a freshman in college and lives 2 1/2 hours away from us. They assured us that she should make a trip down and they would give us a better deal than what we are paying now. We were very excited about that and told her to come down on Friday (today). We went in and they turned the whole thing upside down by offering us a "deal" that would cost us $100 a month more than what we are paying now. They just lied to get a deal and broke our daughter's heart. She is now driving back crying and very angry. Mark, you lied to us and now our daughter is angry at us because she feels like we deceived her. It was you who lied to us! That is no way to conduct business! You wasted so much of our valuable time, I will never say a nice thing about Schumacher Subaru of Palm Beach...don't bother, they lie to you and will keep you waiting for hours for absolutely nothing! You should be ashamed of yourselves! More
