Damien was so incredibly kind and helpful. I definitely felt like he had my best interests in mind and he was very communicative regarding the issues with my car. I definitely will be coming back to him when I need my car serviced next!

So I came out to find my CX-5 with a flat left tire over Labor Day Weekend. There's some construction around my place so I thought I picked up a nail. First Mazda's First Response team came out--I think they have a different name like Roadside Assistance. He was able to pop the spare in for me, which of course I can do, but it's badass when you have a company willing to stand behind it's product. Plus I was hoping he might be able to repair it there. We take the wheel off and no noticeable puncture to the tire. So I throw on the donut and called Victor. At first I tried to take it to John Patterson's other shop a little closer in Huntington Beach but they were booked up. They did take a look at the tire and fill it up to see where the issue was...turns out there was a small tear or gash in the sidewall lettering about 2 centimetres. The tech suggested it had been intentional which left me baffled, and is another deal altogether, but said they couldn't patch it, but to try through the Yokohama warranty. I get it...a dealer can't be responsible for some a**hole doing something like that, so I called Yokohama who first sent me to a Goodyear dealer; who then sent me to a Yokohama certified dealer--who said they would replace the tire and I would have to send the warranty in and hope to get repaid. The tire was $305--nice tires I guess. Before pulling the trigger, I called Victor one more time and he said not to do that and bring it to Tustin before 5 and they'd look into what could be done. I got there and met a guy with a great haircut like mine named Jefferson, who asked if he could take a look. He came back about 10 minutes later and said it looked like an intentional puncture, but here's the cool part. He basically said he felt bad I'd been running around all day and that they were going to replace it for the price of free-99. That is above and beyond and saved me not only money, but my sanity. It reminded me that there are good people out there too. Everyone I've met from OC Mazda is in that category, so I hope John reads this, and remembers at Xmas Bonus time ;) Maybe I'll grab an RX-9 if they ever make it to add to the fleet. I'll tell you one thing, there's a reason this company is rated so highly. They're simply phenomenal.
