Poor service regarding maintenance. I have experienced the same issue with my batter which was replaced in July 2024 and it appears the vehicle has an underlying problem. The service advisor told my father a hydraulic motor mount in his x3 was bad the written estimate said the vehicle had a suspension issue I’ve never heard a motor mount described as a suspension compone mount in his x3 was bad the written estimate said the vehicle had a suspension issue I’ve never heard a motor mount described as a suspension component, suspension of the motor right! They wanted 3000 to change the mount the cost of the part at dealer is 153.08. My father is retired air craft mechanic serviced by n airforce over 25 yrs plus has worked for Boeing, Lockheed & Rathion. He builds custom hot rods now since he’s retired has completed full restorations n several 50’s area Chevys upgrading the suspension & henhouse nes with Corvette C-5 & C-6 components. I’m a metal fabricator, have worked on everything from DC-8 to Ducati Monster. I’ve wrenched my whole life I own a M-6 that I’ve customized many things from remapping ecm doing deletes to remapping my SMG torque shift ranges. Both of us are very capable of pretty much anything. He was insulted by the way this dealership was out right trying to scam him & the way the adviser was acting like he was the town idiot not to agree to the work. So long story short I ordered both mounts we replaced them. There was nothing wrong was th the mounts. They were exactly what he same as the new ones. Beware of the xx the advisors try to sell you. Just because we have the money to drive the best on the road doesn’t mean you’re dealing with something some overly paid guy that will just agree to anything the dealer advisor says needs to be done. Always question & know what you are being charged for. They even had more dad watch some video explaining something about the mount had some kinda indicator that says it bad that was xx too. Good luck if you’re dealing with service there. More
