Hello all! I recently purchased my first Corvette ever (2024 Stingray Rapid Blue 2LT with Z51 Package) and I have to say, it was one of the most pleasant car I recently purchased my first Corvette ever (2024 Stingray Rapid Blue 2LT with Z51 Package) and I have to say, it was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences that I have ever had. I live in Texas so I was not able to physically go and see the car in person but the entire staff at Rio Vista Chevrolet in Buellton California went above and beyond to make my dream car a reality. Oscar Sanchez was particularly incredible in guiding me through the entire process (I highly recommend talking with Oscar if you're thinking about buying a car from Rio Vista Chevrolet, he was absolutely awesome!). Oscar was always available to answer any questions that I might have, he personally took several pictures and videos of my car, he was extremely detailed, professional, honest (which is a huge personal thing for me when purchasing a car) and always went the extra mile when communicating with me which really gave me that extra sense of security since I wasn't able to physically travel from Texas to California to view and purchase my car. In addition to the great help that Oscar provided, I also want to thank Tyler Smith (General Sales Manager), Marcia Ridpath (Sales Representative), and Erik Perez (Finance Manager) for their help as well, I couldn't have asked for a smoother and straight forward buying process than I experienced, thank you all so much!! Also, just another quick note, in reference to timing and delivery, I first called Rio Vista on 10-10 about my car and before I knew it I had my car fully financed, papers signed, and my car was delivered to my house in Texas on 10-19. If you're thinking about buying a car in the near future, I would absolutely recommend giving Rio Vista Chevrolet in California a call, they will 100% take care of you and all of your car needs. Dave & Justin in the Service Department are great. My issue is that I feel that I am paying 25-35% more than I should for repair work. The dealership makes money on their parts, their fee for diagno My issue is that I feel that I am paying 25-35% more than I should for repair work. The dealership makes money on their parts, their fee for diagnostics, and on the mechanic's labor. The fact that they charge by the book rate instead of actual time is a ripoff to the customer. Going forward it has become clear to me that I should seek outside dealership repairs by non-affiliated, but qualified mechanics. Additionally, a Service rate of $199/hour is just insane. More
