Numbers could be more transparent at the end Khalil was the salesperson I worked with and he was outstanding. Not being commissioned based on price but per until meant that not only did he help m Khalil was the salesperson I worked with and he was outstanding. Not being commissioned based on price but per until meant that not only did he help me find the right car, he coached me.out of bad decisions that went against what I told him I was looking for. For example, I looked at a swanky Mazda5 (I had requested to) and he was straight with me about having said I was looking for something not flashy and reasonable to maintain (The Mazda5 has a ton of electronics, and a high end wheel package). Everything was great when I brought my wife and she drove the top 2 choices for our needs. We knew the sale price as they price up-front pricing. The only frustration was how long it took after we said "We'll take this one." At that point it was Khalil and his team lead Paul (also super nice) trying to balance out numerous customers on a busy day. When USAA failed to outline some details and I inquired about financing through Auction Direct, all the extra packages came out. Various prices for financing were given with all the extra packages included and I became frustrated as I had been consistently adding costs together. I should note Khalil and Paul we're up front about everything when I asked, but I had to read through and ask. Some of the disclosure forms ask for initials before th documents get to you for review. In the end, I was a stickler for seeing everything and understanding everything before moving on. It was clear they were running through the process Auction Direct expects of them (even Khalil had to get me to sign sheets saying I had been offered packages but declined). The first 80% of the experience was great. Being clear on the details, costs and fees wasn't shady, but it could have been MUCH more direct and not taken 2 hours considering my loan approval came in after 20 minutes. Knowing all of that, I am highlyikely to use them for monitoring Warranty issues and purchasing vehicles in the future. More
