I thought it was extremely weird that the salesman wouldn’t let me drive the vehicle off the lot. Instead he took us to a random parking lot about 2 miles away and switched me seats. Had I not already had a vehicle just like this one, I probably wouldn’t have purchased it based on the “test drive” where I was told exactly where to go and how to drive. Joe Machens did something similar to me, and I won’t go back there for a number of reasons. In a small town, I just thought this practice was weird. Next, I secured financing outside of the dealer because I work closely with a friend on this type of business. I was contacted by the salesman and the finance manager to question me about why I was doing this. It was weird to feel pressured to finance in house when I prefer to take care of my own business.
