Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the dealership’s overall pricing practices and lack of transparency. The vehicle was advertised with approximately a $2,000 discount, which certainly dealership’s overall pricing practices and lack of transparency. The vehicle was advertised with approximately a $2,000 discount, which certainly helped attract me to the dealership. However, during the purchasing process, I learned that receiving the advertised pricing required purchasing PPP+ for $2,000. I was told that if I chose to remove the PPP+ product, the dealership would also remove the advertised discount. This significantly reduced the value of the advertised discount and made the pricing feel misleading. In my opinion, a discount should be a discount, not something that is offset by a required $2,000 product purchase. I was also surprised by the number of additional dealership fees. Some of the charges were difficult to understand, and I did not feel that anyone was able to clearly explain why they were necessary. I compared the transaction with dealerships in other counties and did not see the same types of fees. Customers deserve to know the true price of a vehicle before they invest hours negotiating and completing paperwork. Advertised discounts, required products, and dealer fees should be disclosed clearly and upfront. I strongly encourage Mazda at the Avenues to improve its pricing transparency. The employees I worked with were great, but the pricing practices left me feeling uncomfortable with the overall buying experience. More
