Great Experience Other than the General Manager I bought a 2018 CR-V. All the people were professional and easy to deal with. I got a better prices than 4 other dealers I checked with (all by email I bought a 2018 CR-V. All the people were professional and easy to deal with. I got a better prices than 4 other dealers I checked with (all by email and phone) and I got lifetime warranty on power train. For all that, I would give them five stars. Then something happened that took all the pleasure out of it and created a lot of anxiety for a week. One of the many documents to sign was an arbitration agreement (of course giving up many legal rights, such as the right to sue them or to join in a class action suit). I said that I didn't like arbitration agreements. The finance guy wrote "declined" in big letters across the from and we both initialed that. Two days (6-14) later they called and said that it was their policy that all their buyers had to sign one of these and asked me to come in and do so. I said I "sorry, no". She said their guy made a mistake. She invited me to come in to discuss options. I said "there are no options". She said she would have to talk to the owner of the dealership. I said "fine". Update 6-15: The GM of the dealership left a voice mail that this is a “dealbreaker”. I called him back but missed him. (I didn’t know that a fully executed deal could have a post hoc dealbreaker. And the dealer accepted my cashiers check for the payment - it is fully paid for.) UPDATE, 6/16 conversation with GM of dealership. GM wants the arbitration agreement signed —or the car returned. Said he doesn’t regard it as a completed sale. Said he would not process the transfer of the title to me. I offered him 3 options: - Have the dealership's owner call me. - Have their lawyer send a brief justification for why they can require a change to the terms of sale after the sale is completed. - Take it to arbitration (smile) and I will agree to abide by the arbitrator's decision. The GM also told me that the arbitration agreement merely required arbitration before any legal action can be taken. I told him that those terms were agreeable - but that they were NOT what the arbitration agreement specifies (it requires agreement to never sue them and never to join a class action suit). I don't like that he tried to get me to sign it by misrepresenting it or that he really tried to bully and threaten me. Update: 6/17/2018. I got a call from the dealership’s lawyer. He said he had a message to call me but not been told why. I explained what had happened and he was, I think, s*hocked* that the GM was trying to bully and threaten me over this. He said forget it; don’t worry about it; I will be treated just like any customer who has bought and paid for a vehicle from the dealership. I asked him to make sure that the general manager was clear about that, because the general manager had threatened to withhold the processing of the registration with the state of Georgia. He said he be glad to do that, apologized again, and wished me a happy Father’s Day. Update 6/20/2018: After leaving two message for the GM, to make sure he agreed with the lawyer. back from him. He told me that the lawyer was correct. He didn't apologize; all he said was that I should understand that he had to follow policy. More
