We are sympathetic to customers that experience vehicle issues especially when they are out of town. We apologize for the inconvenience. We were contacted on 2/24 and arranged to have the vehicle towed to the nearest Kia Dealer who agreed to look at it on Monday. We were happy to learn that you were staying with relatives and were not stranded. We also advised you that your Kia warranty would have covered trip interruption and substitute transportation if needed. Fortunately, the issue was quickly resolved on Monday morning. Initial quality is a big measurement by JD Powers and the manufacturers, and Kia is among the best year after year. They strive for no issues but unfortunately, sometimes issues come up. It is unfortunate that you had an issue after a short period of ownership but it seems to be resolved and the warranty will be in place for 5 years or 60,000 miles of the limited warranty and 10 years or 100,000 miles of limited powertrain warranty. You expressed interest in a Sportage in place of the Niro While we can't just take vehicles back after they are purchased, we offered to trade for only $15 more a month. The Niro is a top three finalist for world car of the year and has received numerous other awards. Again, we're sorry that you had a problem and we tried to do everything possible to successfully resolve the situation.

You sold me a defective car. I was not staying with relatives, I missed a relative's birthday because of this. A new car should be reliable, and then, when you were poised to do the right thing, you figured devaluing my defective car was a great solution for you. I will never buy KIA again, I will never buy from this dealer again, and neither will my family. This experience has me questioning everyday if today will be the day that my NEW car fails me yet again.
