The worst experience I hav ever had with a car dealer. - JB
The worst experience I hav ever had with a car dealer. Let's go through the list:
1. Bought used car with understanding that it would be detailed and paint issues would be addressed.
2. Went to pick up car when assured that the work had been done. Dealership used one of those paint pens you get at a car part store to paint in a large area of paint that was missing. Looked like someone had squirted whiteout on the area. Other dings not addressed. Car, despite my being assured it had been detailed, was still filthy. Dirt on floor mats. Goo in cupholders. Seats were grimy.
3. Salesperson asked who sold the car to us, then proceeded to talk about how "xxxxx stupid that salesman was," and that the salesman who sold the car didn't know anything. Also, agreed that the paint "touch-up" looked like :"sh--" (his words).
4. Same salesman walking around in showroom cussing loudly on his phone.
5. Sales showroom had a jumble of furniture taking up a good chunk of the floor. Seems that someone was having an estate sale, so they just piled the furniture with price tags on sticky notes in the showroom next to a $107K Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
6. Assured care would be steam cleaned and paint addressed. Paint issues were partially addressed. Pointed out that the Took delivery to find out that the seats had not been steam cleaned. Detailer said the water coming out of the seats when he worked on it was black.
7. Called multiple times to find out why I did not get a title. No calls back. The purchase was in November, yet did not get title until end of January.
The entire experience was horrible, and I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. The dealership could not even be bothered to change an air filter (which was filled with dirt) or change the oil. I've bought at least 4 cars over the years from Landmark, mostly from the Ford side of the business which seems to operate professionally. This portion of the business failed to meet minimum standards for service/satisfaction. Does Chrysler approve of having flea markets in their showrooms?
