My husband and I went to Golf Mill Ford with the intention of purchasing a new or possibly a used car. After finding a used car that may just have been perfect for our needs the price haggling and d intention of purchasing a new or possibly a used car. After finding a used car that may just have been perfect for our needs the price haggling and discussion of rates began. The rate we were offered did not work in our budget but we were assured they worked with numerous banks and had such a good relationship that they could make this happen. They came close but it still was not where we wanted to be so we told Jeff we were going to leave and look elsewhere and let him know by 5:00pm that evening. During the pricing negotiations I was told our credit score was 680 (Trans Union) and that that was the best deal they could get us on the rate we would qualify for. This brings me to the reason of my poor rating… Our next stop was to a Chevrolet dealership where we also found a car the we liked and were working on pricing to see if we could get it to work in our budget. Well they did and they also ran our credit through Trans Union but our score was 722?? Amazing how it went up 42 points in the 2 hours that passed between the reports being run. This is a despicable and fraudulent practice and I wonder how many people financed cars through this dealership at a higher rate than was necessary. More

I bought a 2008 Ford Fusion straight forward transaction, great pricing and easy people to deal with. I will recomand this dealership to everyone. Here's a quick summation of my experience with Golf Mill Ford. I called the dealership on the phone and within a few minutes we agreed on a price for the call that I was looking for. No-hassles, No Games! Because of the considerable savings I was more than willing to drive 4 hrs one way. The best way that I could describe Golf Mill Ford is this. Their dealership is like a symphony of excellence! Everyone at the dealership works together to the end goal of making sure the customer (me) has a good buying experience. Art Therios and Connie were great! Art has followed up with me several times after the sale. He knows the brand well and has shown me that he is willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Clearly! ... a great dealership to do business with! More
During our test drive of a used Ford Explorer I had asked where the 4 wheel drive button. Our salesperson said the vehicle was all wheel drive. We ended up purchasing the Explorer and a couple days later w where the 4 wheel drive button. Our salesperson said the vehicle was all wheel drive. We ended up purchasing the Explorer and a couple days later while reading the owner's manual, I realized the vehicle we had purchased was not all wheel drive, but rather rear wheel drive. Our salesperson outright lied to us. Golf Mill will not take the vehicle back nor were they willing to help us locate a 4x4 without losing tons of money. We've never been so upset in our lives. Beware of their dirty practices! More
Easily my worst experience with a car dealership. They had some new guy, supposedly with 12 yrs of experience help me with a Ford Edge SE. I told them on the phone I already knew I wanted the car, just n had some new guy, supposedly with 12 yrs of experience help me with a Ford Edge SE. I told them on the phone I already knew I wanted the car, just need to see with they could match the deal Schaumburg Ford was offering. So I come in, they guy didn't know how to use a computer to look up his inventory so we had to walk to the lot. He asked if I wanted a test drive and I said NO. I've already driven the car twice. So he said we'd just drive the car up to the front of the lot. He LIED. He proceeded to get on the street and wasted 20 minutes driving somewhere then having me drive back. We drove back, then I waited for almost 30 minutes for a trade-in value. Not sure why that couldn't have been done during the test drive I was forced to take. They lowballed my '01 Highlander at $1500. KBB shows 4600-5200. Schaumburg was going to give me $5200. Then it went downhill quickly from here. He scribbled some numbers on a piece of paper, then wanted me to sign it and give him $100 to go try to "get a deal". That is when I flipped. I told him I'm not signing that paper with scribbles or giving you $100 or a credit card. Then he proceeded to tell me I wasn't being truthful with the trade-in offer from Schaumburg. I had to demand my keys 5 times before I finally was able to leave. I was talked down to as soon as the negotiations started and felt threatened by the sales guy as I was leaving the building. Then two days later, he has the nerve to leave a voicemail asking me to come back and be "more reasonable" about the trade value of my car. I ended up going back to Schaumburg Ford where they treated my professionally and like a CUSTOMER, they located a vehicle and gave me top dollar for my trade. Niles Ford won't be number 1 much longer they way they operate. More
