I found a car at Puyallup Subaru that just arrived and fit the bill. I called and spoke with Brittany. I attempted to confirm the trim level, but she seemed unable to figure out how to do so. Neverthel fit the bill. I called and spoke with Brittany. I attempted to confirm the trim level, but she seemed unable to figure out how to do so. Nevertheless, I went in the next day to check out the car. When I go to leave, I was told to ask for Justin at the front desk. I think he must have been a manager who introduced me to Brennan. Brennan immediately began trying to sell me on the car. To their credit, they pulled the car from their intake process to have me check in out. Brennan went on the test drive with me. I always hate this. I want to check out the car, not make small talk with you while you try to sell. When we got back he doubled down on selling. Pushing me to fill out a credit app several times. Repeatedly trying to get me to give a monthly payment target. After asking several times, I finally got the CarFax and inspection report. Despite Brennan telling me all about how he had been the used car refurbishing manager for five years and just recently moving to sales, he wasn’t able to honestly answer a single question I had about the inspection report. He responded by assuring me all the work was done and there is nothing wrong with the car. Brennan finally gave up and the manager, Allen came to speak with me. He was able and willing to go get more information about the work. He then lowballed me on my car and asked an unreasonable price for the Crosstrek. I provided him with competitive offers for my car and he of course made excuses. He was finally willing to come in to the range of another offer, but still left some cushion for the dealership. I provided him with listings for the same year of Crosstrek with the same milage in a different color and automatic transmission for thousands less. He replied that the dealership is charging a premium for the color and manual transmission. I left to think on it overnight. The next day I texted Brennan with no response for hours. Despite pressure to make a decision ASAP. I gave a final pitch for a reasonable value for my car, a fair price for the Crosstrek, the front brake pads to be replaced, and the car to be properly detailed with the carpet and upholstery being scrubbed due to the previous owner having a dog. The sleaziest part of the whole ordeal was Brennan pitching “Rob, I’m going to do you a favor if you do me a favor, okay? If you scan this code and give us a five star rating, I’ll give you a full tank of gas.” I declined and informed him a car comes with a full tank of gas. He left, came back a bit later, questioned if I was going to do the review, and put his little sign back in his desk drawer when I confirmed I would not. The absolute worst part of the experience is the windshield was cracked when I went to hop in the car. I hadn’t seen the car since driving it a couple days before. I brought it up to Brennan, who looked at it and insisted the chip was filled. It was not. After a bunch of back and forth, I ended up at their glass vendor who filled the chip. The vendor stated that it really ought to be replaced. I never noticed the two chips or the crack when I test drove the car. And I specifically checked. I’m betting it happened on the trip to or from the detailer, they half-butt addressed it, and pushed it along knowing they already had a deal. I’m also confident of this because the tech never documented the chips or crack on the inspection report. More

I am once again disappointed with the maintenance service at Subaru of Puyallup. Each visit entails an extended wait for check-in, despite having an appointment and arriving early. Furthermore, I've experien at Subaru of Puyallup. Each visit entails an extended wait for check-in, despite having an appointment and arriving early. Furthermore, I've experienced overcharging due to technician/mechanic mishaps. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach the customer service manager, Samantha. Whether she is unavailable or has left for the day, my calls and voicemails at different times have gone unanswered. I am still waiting for her to return my call after missing her the first time. Regrettably, I have decided not to continue my business with this Subaru location, as it has proven to be the most disappointing and unsatisfactory experience among all the Subaru service centers I have visited. Every once in a while something happens that is so unique or out of character that one is compelled to share the experience. After only 11 years and 238,000 miles on my current Outback, I decided it was time or out of character that one is compelled to share the experience. After only 11 years and 238,000 miles on my current Outback, I decided it was time for a new car. After shopping around and having the stereotypical car buying experience at other dealerships, I bought my new 2024 Outback through Alivia Reynolds at Puyallup Subaru and it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Alivia is professional, knowledgeable, personable, patient and just plain nice! She has impeccable integrity and she should definitely be teaching other salespeople how this process should work. My only hope is that I live long enough to need to buy another new car from Alivia! Bill C. More

The team was very accommodating; they all di it. Carlos was very helpful and a pleasure to work with; purchased the car with him the very next day. The team was very accommodating; they all did their jobs without being pushy or challenging my intentions. A great experience overall for those that cringe at the car buying process. More
Very disappointed with this dealership new advertisement on their ‘express service’! On their website they said no advance schedule needed for oil change however when we get to the dealership service center on their ‘express service’! On their website they said no advance schedule needed for oil change however when we get to the dealership service center, they told us ‘no walk in due to lack of staff and now you have to find oil change elsewhere!’! This is completely false advertisement and waste customer time! More
I've been in and out of countless dealerships since April 2023 looking for a new car since my daily was showing signs of aging. I've encountered many dishonest and sketchy dealerships in that timeframe (see 2023 looking for a new car since my daily was showing signs of aging. I've encountered many dishonest and sketchy dealerships in that timeframe (see my prior reviews), and nonetheless, I was beginning to lose motivation to look at any more cars. Puyallup Subaru restored my faith in dealerships. I found the car I wanted with very low miles and a clean carfax report and reluctlantly made an appointment. On arrival, the car I came to look at was sitting in a little bay, ready for me to test drive it. They even had my name on it :) Spencer Adam met up with me and went with me on a test drive. Spencer is young but very professional and comfortable to talk to. I don't know what training he received, but he handled himself very well. I gave him a chance to sell me the car and he took it. He listened to everything I said and respected my decisions if I refused a service add-on. There was no pushiness whatsoever. There was no hidden agenda. He let me look and test the car however I wanted. Honestly, I wanted to purchase the alarm system not because I wanted it but because Spencer's genuine persona was hard to say no to. Let it be known that he wasn't pressuring me. He just had a very likable personality. When I waited for my financial documents to finish being prepped by their finance advisor, Spencer made sure all my needs were met and would periodically ask if I wanted any snacks or drinks. It was a bit awkward since I'm an introvert and would prefer to wait for my documents to finish by browsing the internet or something lol, but nonetheless, he was making sure I was taken care of! Due to my prior experiences in the last 5 months, I was so thankful to actually be enjoying a visit to the dealership. I'm planning on coming back here for my next car when the time comes. They stress "no-pressure sales" and they live up to it. Spencer called almost a week later and left a voice mail to check in and see how I'm liking the car. This is the first time I've had a dealership call me back to "check in" on me. Thank you for restoring my faith in car dealerships. Thank you to Spencer for being my salesman and thank you for my new 2015 Subaru Legacy!! I LOVE it! More
