I was not only disappointed but shocked by the unprofessional attitude, incompetence, and blatant disrespect for clients exhibited by the Genesis of North Plainfield, NJ Service Department. It took them 5.5 hours to complete routine maintenance, including an oil change and tire pressure check. They offered me a Lyft ride home but never picked me up from my house. My experience with the dealership service department has gotten gradually better. The earlier problems I had were related to employee turnover and bad handling of calls to people no longer there. Very disappointed when I was given a price for a GV80 Prestige and made to drive over an hour only to be given a price that was 50% higher. I don’t believe they were fair on my trade offering my several thousand dollars lower. My car is in demand and will sell about 15-20% higher than what they offered. The sales manager advised that I sell the car myself and come back. While they were somewhat nice about it I again was very irritated to have wasted my time going down there for a bait and switch.
