Horrible. The entire experience always. I bought direct there and have NEVER had a OK experience. Employees in service seem disconnected and not happy. I was there yesterday for 5.5 hours for an oil change and to get a FOB/key set up. I drive 30 miles each time to get there. Set up the appt WAY before I got there. I was offered a LYFT to go shop while I wait. I was never contacted and had to call them to see what is going on. Was told. We cannot program the FOB - after 4.5 hours. I asked for a Lyft back and never got a call or a text. Walked atleast a mile to get back to the dealership. Arturo was my service guy and he was AWFUL. Never checked his texts and I never got a call back EVER the whole time even thought I rec'd the initial "I will text you or you can call this number". Just absolutely insane. Plus many, many recalls. Cannot wait to sell the car and get out of Hyundai of Oxnard. Don't buy from there ever!
I scheduled a warranty repair a week in advance. I drove 50 miles to my appointment, and learned they didn’t have a part needed for the work. They ordered the part, and wanted me to come all the way back a week later. I declined. Not worth the driving time and cost.
I leased an 2018 Ioniq from Alexander Hyundai. At the end of the lease I decided to purchase the vehicle. I was paying cash for the purchase. That’s when the problem began. At this point I was lied to, made to feel insignificant and bullied by the finance manager. They told me i was required to have my car inspected and wanted to charge me five hundred dollars for it. They told me it was mandatory and they could not sell me the car without the inspection. Further I was presented with a bill that was $2,000 more than the residual to buy the car. They also told me that it would be very difficult to deal with Hyundai financial and the DMV. At this point the finance manager got very nasty and condescending with me. He refused to give me an itemized accounting of the bill. At this point I walked out. I was able to easily pay Hyundai financial the residual for the car. I went to the DMV and within 15 minutes I was able to transfer the title. I paid $207 at the DMV. I would never do business with Alexander Hyundai ever again. They are dishonest and disrespectful.
They wanted me to pay 3000.00 over MSRP and refused to even negotiate a sale. I’ve never known a dealership who wouldn’t negotiate
Had massive mistakes with my paperwork when I addressed it I was told I would be taken care of. When I emailed the GM he said yes we made mistakes but we don’t give away free stuff. So DMV paperwork wrong twice. Wrong VIn given to me for a quote. Salesman argued with me that he didn’t sent wrong VIN then harassed me about a bad survey number. A small compromise instead go ahead and blast social media would have been smart.
Bought a certified pre-owned sonata from them. They didn't smog the car (its part of the certification process), trunk latch failed in three days, strange rattle started a few weeks after purchase, when I changed the oil the air filter looked like it hadn't been replaced once in the 40K mile life of the car (how do you certify a car and not check the air filter?). All this leads me to think they didn't even change the oil. This place is a total joke. Never again. I will be complaining to Hyundai directly.
