What Others Say

Worst experience ever. Bob Magnano is a pompous idiot and liar. Bob is such a tool that without even asking for a minute to converse with someone in front of him he starts a conversation while on the phone with me. He also insists on accompanying you on test drives. Just so you know Bob, people like to take vehicles out without you breathing down their necks. The truck I bought from them was an overpriced 2019 Tundra Crew Max. I offered my newer Tacoma as a trade. Bob would not budge a nickel on the Tundra citing they were making hundreds not thousands on the sale. The truck had recently been fitted with a flimsy aftermarket bed liner with no bed rails. I later learned the reason for the bed liner was to conceal that the bed was rotted out in one area. Because Bob insisted on accompanying me on the test drive I really didn’t go through the truck like I would have had I been trusted to take it out solo. At 62 years old I didn’t need a chaperone. The fact that the 2019 tundra does not come with a head unit that offers CarPlay would have made me think long and hard about buying it. That it had Laufen tires on it was also comical. I had to replace the “new” tires within 6 months. The amount they gave me for my Tacoma ended up being $7000 less than they sold it for and given that he refused to offer me an additional $1000 for my trade was ridiculous. When you pay $42,000 with tax and fees for a vehicle offered at a legitimate manufacturers dealership you would hope that they would treat you right. After several months I experienced my first flat tire at which time I discovered that there was no jack under the rear seat. I emailed the dealership letting them know and very politely asked if they could get me one. I did not demand it be provided free of charge but hoped they would do the right thing. I never received a response. Something as insignificant as an inquiry regarding a jack should have been answered immediately. If a dealership can’t be bothered with something minor how can you feel comfortable that they will have your back if a serious issue should arise. The Kilmas auto group, in no way shape or form, cares about its customers after the sale. I have an 823 credit score and the vehicle I bought was a gold level certified preowned vehicle. The promotion on the Toyota Certified Preowned website ( were I learned about the truck) was for an interest rate of 5% the same rate offered when purchasing a new Toyota. The finance officer Frank Buffano came back with a nearly 8% apr offer. Totally disregarding the corporate websites offer of 5%. I really liked the truck and took their loan which I then paid in full a week later. The sad thing is I actually came in to buy 2 vehicles. I also wanted to upgrade my wife’s 2012 Highlander Limited. After the experience dealing with Bob and Frank I decided against giving them any additional business. I really don’t think they care that they lost not only a sale, but a customer in general. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to my worst enemy.

Gena Simmons-Refused to give me back my personal information after she tried strong-arming me into a new car sale that I was not comfortable with. Told me she did not want to “personal information” to get lost out there despite my concern to despise of it myself. It felt like a personal attack because I refused to put such a large deposit ($1000) on a vehicle that was in transit (not even on the lot yet). I tried negotiating a more reasonable price and she pulled that card. I planned on paying for the vehicle in full too! Awful experience overall.

⚠️ WARNING: Loyal Customer of 20+ Years—Treated Terribly Worst dealership experience in 20+ years. They ruined my truck’s interior with a caustic chemical, admitted fault, then offered only to “paint it” as a fix—and have ignored me ever since. Zero professionalism or ethics.

"Secured" car for us from other dealer in region, but then can't deliver it since was sold to someone else. Shameful.

Made an appt for 1145am today, explained to both the salesman & the finance manager I was interested in buying out my $23k lease. When we arrived today, we were treated so poorly, told we would have to wait 3.5 hours to speak with finance. The finance manager comes out & says oh we don’t do lease buyouts on Saturdays, go to your bank. I said we can’t now, they all closed at noon. I asked to speak with a manager & the finance manager comes back up to us & says I’m a manager & I told you to go to your bank!!!! This was my 3rd lease with Middletown Toyota, but they wanted nothing to do with me because they get more for selling a new car than a used!!!! Horrible customer service!!!! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves treated loyal customers this way!!! Would never reccomend you guys!!!

Scammers ! We purchased a toyota FJ and the molding on the top of the windshield had broken clips holding the molding in and on the way home the molding flew off because it was jimmy rigged to be temporary instead of purchasing new clips. Sold us the vehicle without changing the fluids in the vehicle. Clearly the information from the mechanical site that documents the work a dealer does on a vehicle clearly shows no fluids were changed on a 13 yr old vehicle they sold for almost $ 26,000.00 . Didn’t know any of what we just said until I took the vehicle to our own toyota dealership and they found over 3,000.00 more work we need to do to it before its work free for a used car. We couldn’t even get it inspected because a brake line didn’t meet the inspection requirements. We will be calling Toyota company to let then know the scam they pulled. We will never buy from them again and never will we purchase a toyota ever again. There are much better companies that monitor their dealerships and hold them accountable. Obvious the Toyota corporation doesn’t care how their dealerships treat the customers. Never again.
