Seller's Comments

This vehicle is located at our Metro Detroit facility - 3175 Martin Rd, Commerce Twp, MI 48390 GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1948 Ford Custom for your consideration. This striking example has undergone a full frame-off restoration and has only 3,649 miles since its completion. It is finished in a rich Blue Metallic exterior over a custom White and Blue interior. Power comes from a 302 cubic inch V8 paired with a C4 automatic transmission and a Lincoln 9-inch rear end. The car rides on a 1948 Ford X-Frame, and features Ford electronic ignition, Edelbrock intake, and a high-efficiency electric cooling fan system. Underneath, the front suspension has been upgraded with tubular control arms, coilovers, and a power rack and pinion steering setup. Stopping power comes from power four-wheel disc brakes. Additional highlights include power windows, six-way power seating, freshly wrapped headers, a manual convertible top, Kenwood aftermarket stereo, and chrome steel rims wrapped in wide whitewall tires. The body has been professionally shaved and dechromed from nose to tail, with custom front fenders blended into the body, a one-piece windshield, and 1949 Mercury taillights. A Poly 48 Ford gas tank has been installed, along with countless thoughtful touches throughout. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information. The 1948 Ford Custom marked the final model year before Ford would introduce an all-new design in 1949. Coming out of the World War II production freeze, the 19461948 models were based on pre-war designs but carried subtle updates. The Custom represented the top trim level, offering customers a more refined, stylish take on the traditional full-size American car. As postwar prosperity grew, these Fords became a blank canvas for custom car buildersparticularly convertibles like this onemaking them a favorite among hot-rodders and collectors alike.
