Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Restomod. Imagine turning heads in this stunning 1955 Chevy Two-Ten a bone-stock body on the outside with a full-blown racecar beating at its heart. This Tri-Five has been transformed into a modern muscle car, meticulously rebuilt from the ground up. Underneath its perfectly polished cream pearl tri-stage paint lies an all-new 572ci Chevrolet big-block V8, quietly tuned to 590 horsepower. (The factory ZZ572 crate from Chevrolet Performance is rated at 621hp.) Every bit of the engine's bottom end is built to last: a Callies DragonSlayer forged-steel crank and Oliver Racing chromoly I-beam rods (with proprietary ''Parabolic Beam'' design) deliver maximum strength and durability. An Edelbrock single-plane intake feeds a 950CFM Holley Ultra XP carburetor for instant throttle response, while an MSD ignition system ensures crisp, reliable spark. All that power is sent through a stout Freddie Brown Racing 700R4 automatic transmission (with 4L60E internals and overdrive) so you can cruise comfortably at highway speeds. A heavy-duty 9-inch Currie rear axle (3.73:1 Posi-Traction) with full four-link coilover suspension tames the power and plants it firmly on the pavement. No detail was spared in the build of this 210's drivetrain. The 572-cuin big block is a monster torquey crate engine, rated to produce over 620 hp (about 600+lb-ft torque). It uses robust forged internals forged-steel crank and rods with forged aluminum pistons just like a race engine. The Callies DragonSlayer crank is machined to sub0.0003 tolerances for ''extended bearing life and trouble-free operation''. Oliver's chrome-moly connecting rods (aircraft-grade E4340) feature a patented Parabolic Ibeam design for the ''highest strength-to-weight ratio'', meaning you get maximum strength without unnecessary weight. On top sits aluminum Edelbrock Performer heads and intake, paired with a Holley Ultra XP 950CFM four-barrel carb a recipe for instant response and big airflow. The result is immediate throttle and plenty of grunt for any driving situation. Power is handled by a bulletproof Freddie Brown Racing 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission. The 700R4 (rebuilt with 4L60E trans internals) is designed to handle the torque of large big-blocks, giving you smooth shifting and an extra tall gear for freeway cruising. A heavy-duty torque converter helps launch this car with authority, and a certified driveshaft loop adds safety confidence at any speed. Behind, the car wears a Currie 9-inch rear end with 3.73:1 gearing and limited-slip (Positraction) differential so it can hook up and put the power down even in low traction. Stopping performance is equally impressive. All four corners have modern disc brakes: multi-piston Wilwood calipers clamp down on slotted and drilled rotors The dual-circuit brake system uses a Hydro-Boost power brake booster to ensure featherlight pedal feel and confidence under hard braking. Adjustable coil-over shocks and tubular four-link suspension in the rear provide superb handling and ride quality this '55 sits low but rides firm, with power rack-and-pinion steering up front for precise control. In short, it handles like a sports car despite its classic look. On the outside, this Chevy's timeless sheetmetal is laser-straight, fully smoothed and free of rust. The three-stage cream pearl paint shines like liquid glass from every angle. Attention to detail is obvious everywhere: the undercarriage and engine bay are beautifully finished and color-matched, the bumpers and trim are chrome-plated to a flawless mirror finish, and modern elements like tinted windows and a tilt steering column blend seamlessly. The stance is aggressive and modern giant 20inch wheels in the rear and 18inch up front fill the fenders for a classic ''raked'' look. (Imagine the payoff when this beauty rolls slowly into a show or cruise the paint and stance alone make a powerful statement
