1960 Porsche 356

1960 Porsche 356B Roadster Build Date: 10/16/59 Chassis Number: 89xxx Engine Number: 600378 Transmission Number: 32474 This lovely Roadster was sold new by Porsche Car Import, Inc. of Northbrook, IL and sold to its first owner, a resident of Scott Kansas. The rest of the early history is unknown but there is a nice file of receipts on hand from the early 2000s to present. European Collectibles purchased this car for a good local client in 2021. Upon receiving the car in our shop, the cosmetics were evaluated and found be quite impressive. A mechanical inspection followed, and the engine had good compression with all cylinders over 100 psi and leak down numbers showed less than 10%. A set of Weber carburetors had been installed but the original Zeniths came with the car. They, along with the distributor, were sent out to Carburetor Rescue for a full rebuild. Once back from rebuild they were installed, and a full service was performed. With beautiful black paintwork and a stunning red interior, the next natural thing to do was to spend $60,000 on a set of five Rudge Knock-off wheels. After delivery to the customer, he used it regularly in San Diego, CA and sent it back to us annually for service work and tuning. This matching numbers 356B Roadster is fully sorted, a blast to drive and turns all the heads imaginable.
