For the Seventh generation of the Series 62 built between 1961 and 1964 came a restyle and re-engineered car. The new grille slanted back toward the bumper and hood lip and sat between dual headlamps, forward slanting front pillars, a revised back light treatment and much more. Now standard equipment included, power brakes, steering, automatic transmission, dual reverse lights, windshield washer and vanity mirror. Cadillac also refined the ride and quietness of the 62. This particular 62 is finished in a rare Pompeian Red over white and has been in the same family since brand new. The power windows, power seat, power top and power antennae all still work as do the fender lights indicating a turn signal. This is an excellent driver quality car that could be used as is and enjoyed or taken to the next level pretty quickly easily. There are some paint bubbling and chipping on the lower rocker panels, the seats are getting dry and are cracking and some other cosmetic imperfections as you could expect from a 63 year old car. The car mechanically starts right up, idles nicely and goes down the road in all honesty really nice and smooth.Like a Cadillac. The interior appears to be all original with original owners manual. The engine bay appears to be 100% stock and all correct. These are really cool cruisers at a reasonable price. We welcome any questions or inspections here in our Traverse City location.
