1964 Porsche 356SC Coupe ⢠Chassis No. 218704 ⢠Engine No. 812301 â Matching ⢠Transmission No. 79529 â Matching ⢠Completed June 9, 1964 The 356SC is the top-of-the-line with the most powerful engine with 95 horsepower, the best manual transmission type 741, and a four-wheel disc braking system built from late 1963 to 1965. This example is a numbers-matching 356SC Coupe, confirmed by the Porsche Kardex, with three owners from new. Finished in a classic color combination of Silver Metallic over Red leatherette, the Porsche 356SC Coupe represents the final and most advanced iteration of the 356 series. This 356SC is in exceptional cosmetic and mechanical condition. The paintwork is in beautiful condition, with excellent gaps and panel fit. The upholstery is in extraordinary condition and features charcoal German square weave carpets with Red upholstery, a VDM steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and a Porsche delete radio plate. The 4.5â x 15â chrome wheels are mounted to Vredestein Sprint Classic 165 15 tires (date coded 2024). The undercarriage is solid and rust-free, and European Collectibles has recently stripped the complete undercarriage to steel, undercoated in Wurth German undershoot to factory specification. The suspension components have also been stripped and painted as per factory specifications. Originally imported by Max Hoffman and sold by Pray Automobile Corporation in Greenwich, Connecticut, to the first owner, William Bowers, on July 7, 1964. The original Service Booklet documents regular maintenance at the selling dealer from July 7, 1964, to November 26, 1969, when the odometer read 23,008 miles. By 1990, the 356SC was acquired by the second long-term owner, Mr. Denison, who entrusted Performance Plus Automotive with a major engine service at 78,620 miles.
