This 1972 Ford Bronco underwent a full refurbishment and modification by Classic Ford Broncos of Columbus, Ohio, in 2022. The build incorporates a modern 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8 mated to a ZF-sourced five-speed manual transmission and an Atlas twin-stick dual-range transfer case. Now showing approximately 2300 miles since restoration, Blue Chip is proud to offer this stunning example of an American classic.
The body utilizes a reproduction tub refinished in Porsche Oak Green Metallic, along with new reproduction glass, trim, and weatherstripping. A black bimini top, chrome bumpers, and power-operated AMP Research side steps complete the exterior equipment. The underside has been coated in a polyurea encapsulator for corrosion protection; however, the original frame stamps are no longer visible.
The Bronco sits on a 2 body lift and suspension lift, with Bilstein shock absorbers and Hellwig anti-sway bars at both the front and rear. A Borgeson power steering box and remote power steering cooler assist with control, while Wilwood hydroboost-assisted disc brakes provide stopping power at all four corners. The 15 chrome wheels are fitted with 33x12.5 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
The interior features two-tone marine-grade brown upholstery on front bucket seats and a folding rear bench, with matching door panels and rear trim. Additional interior elements include a Tuffy locking center console, four-point roll bar, power windows, Vintage Air climate control, electric windshield wipers, and custom carpeting over Dynamat insulation. The doors are mounted with quick-release stainless hinges for ease of removal.
Instrumentation is provided by a Classic Instruments cluster installed behind a wood-rimmed steering wheel and Ididit steering column. The cluster includes a 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer displays 2,300 miles, reflecting mileage since the completion of the build.
Under the hood, the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 is equipped with a custom air intake, fabricated aluminum radiator, and coated exhaust headers that feed into a custom Y-pipe and single tailpipe. Power is directed to the front, rear, or all four wheels through the manual transmission, Atlas twin-stick transfer case, custom-fabricated driveshafts, and 4.10:1 differentials.
A Paint Protection Film was applied to the entire body in June of 2024 by Blue Chip, and the paint has been Ceramic Coated. A custom audio system with Bluetooth capabilities was also installed by Blue Chip in July of 2024.
