Nelson (United States Air Force) purchased this 911S from Domenic Silvestro in Avellino, Italy, and imported it to Chandler, Arizona. Nelson owned the 911S until 2005, and it had several Southern California owners before being purchased by Mr. Thomas, who owned it from 2016 to 2022. Penta Motorsports in Canoga Park, California, began the restoration in 2016, and McCoppin Automotive Design in Newbury Park, California, completed it between 2018 and 2020, including paint, brightwork, interior, motor, transmission, brakes, and suspension. In June of 2024, TLG Auto in North Hollywood, California, performed a comprehensive mechanical service, including installing a new clutch kit and flywheel and replacing the rear main seal. The engine was disassembled down to the long block and reassembled with a new oil cooler, fan shroud, valve covers, MFI linkage, fan hub, fan pulley, and a complete valve adjustment, $65,438 was spent. Recently, the 911S was sold to European Collectibles in late 2025. European Collectibles: In-house 911 service technician dropped the engine and transmission to replace the rear main seal. The MFI pump was rebuilt, all the throttle linkage was set up, the shifter bushings were replaced, the shift coupler was adjusted, the engine was tuned, and the MFI was adjusted.
