The 2002 Ford Thunderbird won a significant award when MotorTrend named it their Car of the Year for the 2002 model year. This was the fourth time a Thunderbird model received this prestigious award from the automotive publication. The Thunderbird entered production for model year 1955, marketed as an upscale, ''sporty'' two-seat convertible rather than as a sports car, per se averting direct competition with the Chevrolet Corvette. This low mileage example is finished in the sought after Thunderbird Blue, which was only offered for the 2002 model year. Bought new in Portsmouth, Virginia in November of 2002. Vehicle purchase comes complete with the hard top stand, two keys/fobs, a fresh service, owner's manual literature and a clean Carfax vehicle history report.
