Finished in Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, this first-year C6 announced itself loud and clear, ditching the lazy pop-up headlights for sharp, exposed HID eyes that look like they're hunting apexes. Shorter, wider, and more planted than the C5, it sat right on 18s up front and meaty 19s out back, wrapped in run-flat Goodyear Eagles and ready to bite asphalt the second you twist the key. Under the hood lives the then-new LS2-a 6.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8 hammering out 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the 4-speed automatic transmission, it delivers effortless shove and old-school muscle attitude with modern refinement. No gimmicks. Just big cubes, big torque, and that unmistakable Corvette punch. Inside, Chevy finally got serious. Gone was the bargain-bin plastic vibe-replaced by aluminum accents, tighter fit and finish, push-button start, keyless access, and available navigation. It still felt like a cockpit, but one you could actually live in. And with 22 cubic feet of cargo space, the C6 coupe proved you could pack bags, disappear for the weekend, and still embarrass just about anything you lined up next to.
