The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6 wasn't just a new chapter - it was a middle finger to anyone who thought Chevy had gotten soft. Painted in Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic, this first-year C6 carved its own identity, ditching the sleepy pop-up headlights for sharp, exposed HID eyes that stared down the road with intent. Shorter, meaner, and more planted than the C5, it rolled out on 18s up front and fat 19s in the rear, wrapped in run-flat Goodyear Eagles, ready to chew pavement straight from the showroom. Under the hood lived the all-new LS2, a 6.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8 belting out 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. With the Tremec six-speed manual, it ripped 060 in just over 4 seconds - proof enough that the heart of America's sports car was still pumping fire. An automatic was offered, but let's be real: this machine was born to row gears, not sip coffee in Drive. Inside, Chevy finally admitted the Corvette deserved better than plastic and carpet from a rental car.
