It features a more powerful engine, an updated interior with new technology, and refreshed styling to differentiate it from its Ford Edge counterpart. Performance and fuel economy Engine: The MKX is equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Transmission: A six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode is standard. Fuel economy: FWD: An EPA-estimated 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.
