The Encore Preferred is powered by a 1.4liter turbocharged fourcylinder engine, which delivers good efficiency and enough pep for city and highway driving. Its sixspeed automatic transmission does a smooth job, helping it achieve about 25 mpg in city driving and up to around 30 mpg on the highway (frontwheel drive), with a slight drop if you go with allwheel drive. Inside, it punches above its weight. Standard features include an 8inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, builtin WiFi hotspot, and keyless open/start. These modern amenities make driving more convenient and connected. The Preferred trim adds a few upgrades and luxuries that give it a more upscale feel: things like a power moonroof, remote start, upgraded wheel design, colormatched floor mats and cargo cover, optional driverassist features (blindspot alert, rear crosstraffic alert), and the option for AWD. Despite its compact size, cargo space is decent. With rear seats folded, you can get up to about 48.4 cubic feet of room, which is useful for trips, groceries, or bigger items. Buick also puts effort into quietness and comfort, using things like their QuietTuning engineering and active noise cancellation to reduce road and wind noise. That helps make the ride more pleasant, especially on longer drives.
