It takes about 100 hours to fully charge the iX using a standard 120-volt household-style power outlet, so you should really only use that for topping off your charge. It takes about 10.5 hours using a 240-volt outlet. Using a DC Fast Charging station, you can go from a 10% charge to an 80% charge in about 40 minutes. Starting from the same 10% battery level, you can also add about 90 miles of range in just 10 minutes. The iX xDrive50 has an EPA-estimated range of 315 miles when equipped with the optional 22-inch wheels like Edmunds' test car had or 324 miles with the standard 20-inch wheels. [Obviously with 21'' wheels it'll be somewhere in between.] Impressively, they easily exceeded the EPA's estimate on their standardized real-world EV range test route. Here, the iX drove 377 miles on a single charge, which is one of the longest distances they've gotten so far from an EV. With its odometer now reading 5,230, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the Basic New Vehicle Limited Warranty until August 2026 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
