Power comes from Fordâs hand-built 5.2L supercharged V8, producing 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque, paired with a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain delivers immediate acceleration and lightning-fast shifts while remaining smooth enough for normal street driving. Steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters provide direct control, while Launch Control, Line Lock, and Track Apps help unlock the GT500âs serious performance capability. A Torsen limited-slip differential with a 3.73 axle ratio helps transfer power to the pavement, while MagneRide adaptive damping continuously adjusts to changing road conditions. Independent rear suspension, electronic power-assisted steering, an engine oil cooler, Brembo brake calipers, and two-piece vented brake rotors give this Shelby the response and stopping power expected from a Ford Performance machine. The factory Handling Package adds adjustable strut-top mounts for additional front-suspension tuning. Staggered 20-inch tires measuring 305/30R20 in front and 315/30R20 in the rear create a wide, planted stance and provide the substantial contact patch needed to manage the GT500âs output. Dark Matter Gray Metallic gives this Shelby a menacing, sophisticated appearance. A high-gloss Ebony vinyl over-the-top stripe creates dramatic contrast, while the vented hood with hood pins, aggressive front fascia, quad-tip dual exhaust, LED signature lighting, HID projector headlamps, and sequential LED taillamps make the car instantly recognizable.
