Here are the strong points of the 2022 GMC Terrain the reasons it can be a very good choice followed by some caveats so you make an informed decision. The upside Fresh styling & premium feel For 2022, the Terrain got a facelift: updated front fascia, LED headlamps/taillamps, new wheel designs and a more upscale interior trim. It gives a more premium GMC feel compared to some basic crossovers. Modern tech & connectivity Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard nice for leaving the cable at home and still getting full smartphone integration. Amazon Alexa integration is included. On higher trims you can get features like a head-up display and surround-view cameras. Strong safety features The vehicle includes a good suite of driver-assist and safety tech as standard: forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, etc. Very good crash-test ratings from major safety organisations. Trim variety to match budget and taste There are multiple trims (SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali) so you can pick something more affordable or go for more luxury/off-road look. The AT4 trim adds some off-road styling touches (skid plate, all-terrain tyres) if you like the look of something tougher. Brand/feel benefits If you like the GMC brand and want something that stands out a bit from the everyday compact crossovers, the Terrain offers that. Good value for what you are getting in terms of features and brand perception.
