The 2024 Mustang EcoBoost is powered by an allânew 2.3âliter turbocharged inline-4 engine featuring Fordâs Modular Power Cylinder (MPC) architectureâincluding both port and direct injection, a twinâscroll turbocharger with an electronic wastegate, and internal exhaust gas recirculation. It delivers a spirited 315 hp at 5,500ârpm and 350 lbâft of torque at 3,000ârpm, with output distributed through a 10âspeed automatic transmission to the rear wheels and aided by a 3.15:1 limitedâslip rear axle as standard. The mechanical package includes selectable drive modes (Normal, Sport, Track, Slippery, Drag, plus customizable MyMode), an electric parking brake with Lineâlock (track use), Hill-Hold, and a wellâtuned independent rear suspension with stabilizer bars for improved handling and ride comfort. On the exterior, the standard 18â x 8â machinedâface aluminum wheels sport 235/50R18 allâseason tires with a tire inflator and sealant kit in lieu of a spare. LED lighting is featured throughout: headlights with auto highâbeam and illuminated welcome/farewell lighting, taillights with sequential turn signals, a bodyâcolor blade decklid spoiler, dual bright exhaust tips, easyâfuel capless filler, and a sculpted front fascia with pony applique badge. A 13.2â center touchscreen running SYNCâ4 infotainment pairs with a 12.4â digital instrument cluster, providing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot via FordPass Connect. Standard audio includes six speakers, USB/AUX inputs, and HD Radio support. Safety tech is comprehensive, with standard Ford CoâPilot360 systems such as blindâspot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, laneâkeep assist, pre-collision with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, tire pressure monitoring, and driver alert features.
