It packs a 3.5 liter V6 with 280 horsepower, which is enough to get all eight passengers to soccer practice before the juice boxes get warm. The 10 speed automatic transmission shifts smoother than a Utah ski lift, and with front wheel drive, it handles snowy grocery runs like a pro. Fuel economy lands at 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, so while it is no Prius, it will not make you cry at the pump. The Sport trim dresses things up with 19 inch gloss black wheels, leather seats, and a moonroof so the kids can complain about the sun in their eyes. Inside, Hondas Magic Slide second row seats move around like Tetris pieces, making it easier to load car seats, camping gear, or a Costco run that got out of hand. Cargo space starts at 32.8 cubic feet with all seats up, which is already enough for a weeks worth of groceries, but fold or remove rows and it explodes to 140.7 cubic feet. That is basically a rolling storage unit. With a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, it can even haul a small trailer or toys for a weekend at Bear Lake. Honda Sensing safety features come standard, including adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, and collision mitigation braking, which means the van is smarter than half the people you see driving on I-15. Heated front seats and blacked out styling give it some swagger, so you do not feel like you completely gave up when you chose a minivan. For life in Utah, the Odyssey Sport shines.
