Overview
The 2024 Highlander XSE brings a sport-oriented version of Toyotas three-row midsize SUV: distinctive styling, firmer suspension tuning, and enhanced exterior accents while retaining family-friendly space and features. Standard for XSE is the 2.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine (265 hp / 310 lb-ft) when paired with the gas model. 
It shares the third-row capability and many safety/comfort features of the Highlander line but with a sharper appearance and feel.

- The gas XSE uses a 2.4 L turbocharged 4-cylinder producing 265 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.

- Ambient interior lighting is standard/available in XSE. 
- Infotainment: Base screen size is smaller (8-inch), but higher options include a 12.3-inch touchscreen plus JBL premium audio system. 
- Standard driver-assist and safety technology from Toyotas suite (e.g., Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+). 

Practicality & Capability
- Cargo space: With second- and third-rows folded, the Highlander offers up to about 84.3 cubic feet of space in many configurations. 
- Towing: In certain configurations (especially with the 2.4L turbo engine and AWD), towing capacity is up to approximately 5,000 lbs (depending on equipment).
