If you're considering buying the 2026 Hyundai Kona Limited AWD, there are quite a few strong reasons for and some caveats against. Ill walk through the highlights and then the trade-offs so you can decide if it fits you. Key reasons to buy Premium features for the trim The Limited trim gets the 1.6 L turbocharged GDI 4-cyl engine (190 hp / 195 lb-ft) in its higher configurations. 12.3-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, etc. Safety & driver assistance: Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) in this trim. AWD version adds a more capable chassis: For example, on AWD models the rear suspension is independent multi-link (versus torsion beam on FWD) according to Hyundais spec sheet. All in all, you get a small SUV that has features approaching those of more expensive vehicles. All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option The AWD (in this case Hyundais HTRAC system) adds traction insurance for slippery/icy conditions (important in Wisconsin!) and gives more confidence in inclement weather. The spec sheet lists AWD available on Limited. Ground clearance: On AWD models the minimum ground clearance is listed as ~8.1 inches (versus ~6.7 on FWD) for some trims.
