At All Costs, Avoid Kia Robinson — Dishonest, Negligent, and Unaccountable If you value honesty, accountability, and your warranty, stay far away from #1 Cochran Kia Robinson. I brought my 2020 Tellu and Unaccountable If you value honesty, accountability, and your warranty, stay far away from #1 Cochran Kia Robinson. I brought my 2020 Telluride in multiple times with serious oil consumption concerns well before 100,000 miles — while still fully covered under Kia’s powertrain warranty. The dealership: • Failed to open a warranty case when I reported the issue at 92,981 miles • Delayed action until 97,058 miles, when oil levels were already dangerously low • Conducted an oil consumption test but provided no documentation, protocol, or follow-up • Claimed the result at 98,149 miles (down 1 quart in 1,091 miles) was “acceptable,” even though that’s Kia’s maximum threshold per TSB ENG222 • Misled me by blaming spark plugs as a “contributing factor” to oil consumption — a mechanically false and deceptive claim • Failed to document a follow-up visit at ~100,078 miles where oil was once again low • Left me stranded when the engine failed at 100,698 miles, just outside warranty, now facing a $7,450 engine bill with no coverage I have now filed a BBB Auto Line complaint due to this dealership’s gross mishandling and Kia’s refusal to honor their own warranty standards. This dealership had every opportunity to do the right thing — to document issues, escalate the case properly, and stand behind the warranty. They failed at every turn. I was ignored, misled, and left with a massive repair bill for a known Kia defect. Don’t let the friendly front desk fool you. Protect yourself. Go elsewhere. More
DO NOT BUY A KIA ! I think we have a lemon in our hands. What is a warranty good for if the dealer will not give you an appointment! You buy a car for reliability and I think we have a lemon in our hands. What is a warranty good for if the dealer will not give you an appointment! You buy a car for reliability and just into year two bamm, your car is useless. Our two year old Kia Soul has suddenly malfunctioned. The engine, oil and battery lights go on. My daughter and I have tried to get the car serviced at Cochran Kia and we have been told that the earliest appointment is a month away. I tried to contact the service manager to see if they can at least take a look at the car but my phone call went to voicemail and I have yet to receive a call back. My daughter needs the car to go to work. I live in Florida. Can't help her. I called Kia Customer Support and there is nothing they can do as the dealers are independent. So, you spend almost $40,000 for a car and two years later is useless. If the dealer would be more helpful the problem could go away but they have not helped. Bottom line, do not buy a KIA. More
