My Review Of 411 Carline:

I purchased a 2002 Mercedes Benz CL 600 with only 56K miles on it from 411Calrline. The car was prepped, undercarrige wash, & detailed nicely. I purchased it for $14,800 with a trade in. The next day oil was leaking from the car, I took it to a certified dealership and the estimated repair cost of the oil leak was $5,749.00 plus other fixes to include dual airsprings, filter change, and miscellaneous maintenance that could easily ramp up up $8,600. 411Carline reminded me that I did in fact purchased the car as is. The representatives of Carline did feel badabout the situation and stated they were unaware of any problems and informed me that there is nothing I could do about it, and they were right. Buyers beware, even with a car history from Carfax an independent inspection by a mechanic of your choice before purchase , a checkup from known or local mechanics are well advised. I have learned that I've been scammed, but the mystery still remains by who? The unknowing dealerships, the previous owners? Any which way you look at it, my experience was not the grandest and I am making sure that people who read this will learn from my costly mistake. In conclusion, this particular case all I know is that I purchased the vehicle for $14,800 plus: tax, title, oil, fuel, inspection, a suit, some time away from work, a ruined driveway, reality check, humility and a lesson learned. In my defense, my response is that I will make sure my 411CARLine experience is shared, respectively.

Our team at 411carline has worked very hard over the years to provide excellent service to our customers, which has resulted in hundreds of positive reviews, including an A+ rating from BBB as an accredited business.

We made every effort to ensure that we provided you with excellent service. We sold you a car in good faith. We presented, for your detailed review, a free CarFax vehicle history report prior to purchase and delivery. As an aside, the Carfax report documented maintenance records that were pristine.

Yet you continue to try and damage our online reputation. It is our understanding that you have had to re-write, remove or change your posts, which contained, to say the least - inaccurate information about 411carline. Again, Mr. Jack, we would like to ask you and publicly now, to please stop damaging our reputation by placing undocumented personal assumptions.

We feel your rating and review are unfair, according to all documents on file, which were presented to us as well as they were given and acknowledged by you. Furthermore, your review is not representative of the countless positive experiences we’ve provided families since 2005. Below is a copy of an email I sent to Jacob and Wayne at 411Carline. The email describes my opinion...

Dear Jacob and Wayne,

We want to thank you for the stress-free car shopping and car buying experience that you provided us. We don’t particularly like the feeling of walking into a dealership, knowing the sales people are under pressure to sell, sell, sell to keep their job. It’s annoying and stressful, and it takes the enjoyment out of shopping for a car.

Thank you Jacob for your calm, quiet, pleasant demeanor. You made us feel welcomed without any pressure. You informed and educated us, spent a long time assisting us, then simply allowed us to walk out the door when we said there were other cars on our list we wanted to check out. Of course, our shopping only allowed us to realize that we could not find anything at the dealerships that compared in value to what you had to offer.

We had not considered buying a Volvo, believing our money would only buy an old, very used vehicle. We were pleasantly surprised when Jacob presented a Volvo S80 for us to look at, beautiful inside and out, drove like a dream, and then he told us it would be in our price range.

Thank you Wayne for making the purchase process simple and smooth. And thank you both for returning the license overpayment once the process was complete. You could have pocketed the money and we wouldn’t have known the difference. That is integrity. That is honesty.

We feel as though we have made new friends who find good cars for people and we will be happy to recommend 411Carline to our friends and family.

From Dave – I enjoy driving a nice car, but I love driving my Volvo S80. I can’t wait to see what Jacob will come up with for my next Volvo when I once again need a car. I do not yet have a good photo to send, but when I do, I will send you a copy.

Wayne's knowledge of Volvos is extensive. He was able to guide me to a car, & made the process of purchase easy. I love the gray S60 I'm now driving.

My Review Of 411 Carline:

The staff at this dealership explain that all their cars have been checked out by a mechanic, they stated that the car we purchased was checked out and was in excellent condition. I strongly suggest to always have your vehicle checked by a good mechanic. While we had a quick check done, a more thourough check should have been done (this was our fault) because there were many issues with this vehicle. The price was at the top of the kelly blue book value and the sales person said there was no room for negotiation (if you are told this then walk away). When purchasing the car they had us sign that this vehicle came with no warrenty... this should be a red flag because they should stand behind what they say (that the vehicle is in excellent condition)and give you a 30 day/1,000 mile warrenty like most dealerships do. We no more than drove the vehicle off the lot and the check engine light came on. I am only writing this as a warning to people, like I said above if there cars are is such great shape they should stand behind them and give everyone some kind of a warrenty.

- Each of our vehicles goes through a thorough inspection process. Stating that “a more thorough check should have been done” improperly characterizes the hard work our mechanic teams have done.
- The assertion that we do not provide warranties is also incorrect.

Hello Stephen,
If you were not aware, in order to write a review on this website you need to create a profile and input all of your contact information... All of my information is there if you wanted to contact me personally. There is also a disclaimer stating that when writing a review that everything must be true, so I assure you that everything I stated in my review is true, and legitimate. I was not aware that if I have a concern that I was to contact the marketing department and was not aware that there was even a marketing department to contact.
You stated in your response that by me saying that I should have had a more thourough check of the vehicle purchased improperly characterizes the hard work your mechanics do... That is my advice to future consumers since when we drove off the lot the check engine light came on and there was some loud "clunking" noises coming from the rear of the vehicle. I immediately called 411 carline to report the problem.
In terms of the warranty we were told this was an as is sale and we were presented that paperwork at the time of sale. ( no warranty was offered like it is at most car dealerships).
In regards to posting the "fair" price, we checked Kelly blue book and the price the car was listed for was the excellent condition price, and as you can see by the problems this vehicle had, it was not in excellent condition. We were told there was not room for negotiation on the price.
It is the choice of consumers to read reviews and take from the review what they wish, that is what I chose to do before I went to 411 carline. All the reviews I had read were good but then I had a much different experience so that is the reason I chose to post my experience.

Jacob was a very friendly and helpful sales person. I almost hate to call him a sales person because of how helpful he was. He made sure my wife and I were comfortable with every step of the process. He made sure that every question was answered and reported any of his concerns before a purchase which made it easy to take the next step. I've already referred 1 friend to him and anyone else I know who's looking to buy should go through him!

My Review Of 411 Carline:

Excellent dealership-I would recommemd this dealership to any and everyone I know looking for a great deal, great service, and a great experience. I have been involved in purchasing cars before, but no experience will exceed the knowledge, and quality of this one. No "Let me speak with my manager first" business, and that alone is worth the visit to me. Great job guys, and keep up the good work!

BTW - the prices are excellent, the carfaxes are clean and so are the vehicles! My next vehicle will certainly come from here no doubt.

My Review Of 411 Carline:

As a professor in marketing at Normandale Community College in town, I am always on the lookout for superior value in my shopping purchases. Quite frankly, I have had nothing but outstanding experiences dealing with Jacob Gurevich and Wayne Palfreyman from 411carline.com I have bought three cars from them in the space of a few months and have been very satisfied with all of them. Why three cars in such a short time? My daughter actually totaled one of them and I am glad to say she survived the experience with no injury, one of the reasons I am now buying Volvos. I bought a cherry '95 850 that was later totaled. I then fell in love with a 2005 S-60 and bought that for my wife. Later I replaced the '95 850 with a '99 S-80 in great shape. While I drive a Tundra, I sneak as much time driving the Volvos as I can! I have to admit that I thought it was unusual at first going to a warehouse district to view an automobile, but I have come to recognize the savvy in Jacob Gurevich's business model. He has found a niche in the market that was underserved. By keeping overhead costs down, he is able to provide a superior value on late model quality vehicles, particularly hard to find Volvos and Lexus automobiles. I have also found that the personalized service that Jacob and Wayne provide to be honest and forthright in an industry not always known for these qualities. These felllows wish to earn your trust and establish long-term relationships. In my business dealings this is what I covet. Like most people, I prefer to work with people I like and trust. I have had enough conversation with these folks to understand that they really know their stuff and in particular, know outstanding vehicles when they see them.
