Called from St Louis to voice interest in a used VW they had on the lot. Car looked pretty good in pictures, and price was very close to ideal. During negotiations, "C.E." actually dismissed me with "have a great weekend" without even attempting to address or rectify my objections, even though we were only $500 apart at that time. I buy and sell cars for friends and family regularly. I've never seen a dealership balk at using KBB values as a starting point for negotiations, until today. They were freindly enough, but I've never experienced a dealership so disinterested in selling a car. More
