Salesman did a good enough job as a salesman. Made a connection with us, answered questions, said the right things, and was nice. Finance guy was nice but lied to us about the Ford Ext Warranty w Made a connection with us, answered questions, said the right things, and was nice. Finance guy was nice but lied to us about the Ford Ext Warranty we purchased. Said it was bumper to bumper, it is not. That’s on me for not reading more thoroughly. Had issues before even a week was up, called salesman. No help. Blamed on me. Nothing. The paper tags were still on and I had to drop $800 on repair and replace. Called and wrote General Manager, no answer at all. Bottom line, all they care about is getting your money and nothing else. More
I have a less than 30-day old 2025 Bronco Heritage I purchased new from AutoNation Katy. Unfortunately, it only had factory pre-wiring for towing and so I needed the Ford Bronco Trailer Tow Kit (Part #V purchased new from AutoNation Katy. Unfortunately, it only had factory pre-wiring for towing and so I needed the Ford Bronco Trailer Tow Kit (Part #VS2DZ-15A416-C) installed to setup my new Bronco for towing. The AutoNation Ford Gulf Fwy location was much closer to my Galveston home, so the Katy service advisor advised me to take it there. I called the AutoNation Ford Gulf Fwy service advisor, gave her the part no. which AutoNation Katy had confirmed, She then advised me: 1. They could not call their sister dealer in Katy to confirm the part no. with the Katy service tech who had already spent 2 hours confirming the needed part. 2. They could not order the part unless their service tech put eyes on the vehicle for diagnostics. 3. If I ordered it on my own from their parts dept, as an electrical part, it was not returnable 4. I would have to drop off my vehicle for 2-4 days for the tech to 'diagnose'. order. the part and then get it installed. Note this is a 1-2 hour install, my vehicle was going to simply set in their shop for them 'diagnose, wait on the part and get in the install queue at their convenience. 5. They offered no service loaners; I would simply be without my new vehicle which I need for work. I called the Ford Customer Resolution Center (CRC), who apologized for my experience but told me the dealers are independent entities, and they could not help resolving a dealer-related service issue. I promptly went to Classic Ford in Galveston who simply 1. Ordered the part and told me as long as it wasn't installed it could be returned. 2. That they would order and expected delivery in 1-2 days. 3. They would call me when it came in to schedule install. 4. I could bring it in for the 1-2 hour install and wait. AutoNation Gulf Fwy service was the worst service I have dealt with in many years. They showed a total lack of the friendly, professional dedication to resolving customer problems that are expected. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Mercedes Sprinter 3500 van and the service provided for both of the vehicles is exponentially superior to my experience with AutoNation Gulf Fwy. At both Jeep and Mercedes, on arrival we are met in the service alley by an advisor, we are greeted, they promptly invite us to wait in the customer lounge and have a coffee and snack, and they promptly service the vehicle. My new Bronco is one of the best off-road SUV's I've driven, and a I've owned a few. It is expertly engineered and well-built by Ford. However, despite how much I like my new Bronco, due to this service experience, this may be the last Ford I buy. My time is too valuable to hassle with abrupt, unprofessional service advisors who aren't really committed to common sense and working with customers to resolve their vehicle issues. Life's too short and there are lots of alternatives out there who are dedicated to service excellence. More
I started the buying process on August 25, 2025, putting down my down payment and signing paperwork. The dealership had already listed the truck, but then kept it to do some repairs, and it wasn’t ready unt down my down payment and signing paperwork. The dealership had already listed the truck, but then kept it to do some repairs, and it wasn’t ready until August 28, 2025, when I picked it up after work around 8:30 PM. By 4:00 AM the very next morning, less than 8 hours later, the check engine light came on. I called as soon as they opened, explained the error codes showing in the FordPass app, and was told to bring it in. The codes pointed to an erratic timing sensor, which turned out to be the cam phasers. They’ve already had my truck for 7 days, and I’ve been told they’ll have it for at least another week. By the time I get it back, my first payment will already be due — and I haven’t even had the chance to truly drive it or get comfortable in it. What’s worse is it’s clear they listed and sold me the truck without properly checking it over. Basic things like an oil change weren’t even done before handing me the keys. That’s extremely disappointing from a dealership that’s supposed to have a reputation for quality. I still appreciate the professionalism of Travis Beaver and Alister during the sales process, but the overall experience has been a letdown. When you buy a vehicle from what’s supposed to be a reputable dealership, you don’t expect to be without it almost immediately — or find out it wasn’t even properly serviced before you drove it off the lot. Not once was I contacted by any manager, they even brought my keys back with the same low battery the sold it with after having it 20 days also still has an open recall!!!!! More
