Took my Honda Prelude in because the battery would not hold a charge, the door handle would not open from the inside, and the window would go up and down slowly. I told them the car was tiptronic and they told me they knew all about tiptronic cars. They quoted me a fee of 800 dollars. They told me I had to find the parts because my car was a 1997 and they didn't have the parts for it. I found the parts on e-bay, took them to the dealership. They kept my car for four months. When they called me to tell me the car was finally ready, the rear lights would not go off even when the car was completely off. My tiptronic transmission is completely damaged, the speedometer no longer works, the door handle still doesn't work, and the driver side window is still slow going up and down. The 800 dollar quote they gave me was now 1770 dollars when I went to pick up the car, although I found and purchased all the parts, and the car was never repaired, but damaged to the point that I can no longer drive it. They are a rip off, and I truly believe they took the parts I purchased and used on another Honda Prelude that was there. I also believe that I was treated this way because I was a woman, and a Black woman. More
Experienced a flat out of nowhere and had an existing tire warranty in place. Honda of South Corpus Christi was able to work in an appointment first thing on Monday morning! I took my 1997 Honda Prelude to autonation because it was not holding a charge in my battery. I purchased all the parts from e-bay because they said they could not get them. I told them my car was tiptronic when I first came in with it. I also paid to have the drivers side door handle repaired, and it still doesn't work.. Now my car is all messed up, and they charged me over 1700 dollars. When I put the car in D3 drive, it jumps from D3 to D4, even when I cut the car off. The speedometer no longer works, which there was never a problem with that. They didn't do anything to my car but broke everything else. I can no longer drive the car that they said was repaired. When they called me to let me know the car was ready, the rear lights were on, but the car was completely off, and the lights in back would not cut off. Now, they refuse to fix what they've broken. The price quoted when I explained to them what I needed done was 800 dollars, so how did it go from 800 dollars to over 1700 dollars? I guess this is the way they treat Blacks, or a woman. As I told them, it's okay, God sits high and looks low, and He sees everything they've done, or haven't done, and one day, when every knee will have to bow before God, they will have to answer for the wrong they've done. I will continue to pray for them. More
