My issue is with the Hyundai company itself, not the service department. I bought my first ever Hyundai from Don Herring in Plano. Before I even got my license plates in the mail the car broke down on the highway. I learned that there was a hole in the engine block. I also learned that Hyundai was aware of known engine issues and even extended their warranty because of it. I was still within the warranty, but they denied the coverage because of the lack of maintenance records and a NORMAL amount of engine slug for a vehicle with 130K miles. That was their excuse, engine slug and lack of maintenance records. They know their product had issues but they don't want to be accountable for it. Poor quality and a poor company, they didn't even cover the cost of having to get my vehicle looked at by their company, which they requested because they wouldn't let me use the mechanic I had the car at originally. So I have to cover the cost of their poor quality engine and the cost to have my vehicle inspected by their technician because mine that was telling me the same thing wasn't good enough. The service technician that was working on my vehicle, Michael was very helpful and straight forward with me. More

Flat out lied to me about my trade appraisal just to get me in the door. Was given a certified trade amount of 32,944.00 on my trade only to be told that it was only worth 27 or 28k. I understand you reserve the right to update a trade appraisal, but by 5k on a vehicle that was in perfect condition? . Said something about a new car but knew there was 400 miles on it so it was used. Also said I wasn't qualified for a 1750.00 rebate as I told them I wasn't but only insisted that I was with any credit score. All of my time was left alone sitting at the sales rep's desk without him being anywhere around for over an hour. A lot of time was in the finance office as my troublesome credit score caused a problem. The dealership does not allow applying for financing online, only pre-qual. This could have saved me a 90-mile round trip. As I sat alone at the desk, another employee asked me if I wanted a bottled water twice as my sales rep never asked if I needed anything, it's true, if it sounds like too good of a deal then it is.
