I have owned Subarus for over twenty years and this was the worst service experience I have ever had. I took my (impeccably maintained with just over 100k miles) 04 Forester XT in for an AC repair - while the worst service experience I have ever had. I took my (impeccably maintained with just over 100k miles) 04 Forester XT in for an AC repair - while they were under the hood I requested that they keep an eye out for any potential oil leaks. At this point they insisted I needed a new power steering pump - despite having an indie shop I love, I figured, the vehicle is already there, I'll get it over and done with. Sure, I knew their labor rates were higher, but I generally believe you get what you pay for, and thought with their "experienced" technicians, I would have my car back in great working order within a week. They gave me a loaner, which was the single good part of the experience the only reason this is a 2-star and not a 1-star review, but I looked forward to getting my Forester back for its weekly hiking trip with my dog. Fast forward to SEVEN WEEKS and $3k later, I still didn't have my car. Every single time another week went by, I had to reach out for the status. They gave it back twice worse than before making awful noises and throwing a CEL, which they kept blaming on the negligible aftermarket parts on the car, prior shops, anything but taking accountability for their own errors. Meanwhile, one employee solicited the sale of my unicorn Forester (which I just wanted back and repaired) and another pushed a lease on the loaner vehicle! Showing their true colors of "sell sell sell" was not a good look under the circumstances. After the third time not being the charm, I went elsewhere. The other shop found misdiagnosis of the check engine light code, an oil leak that AutoNation should have caught, and charged a fraction of the cost to fix everything in a single afternoon. If I’d let AutoNation continue, I would probably be another thousand poorer and still be throwing a CEL. Be aware that not only are their labor rates about twice the local average, but they seemingly charge a minimum of 2.5 hours labor for every job, no matter how small. I'll be a Subaru owner for life but will never return to AutoNation for service or my next new or used vehicle, and deeply regret taking my Forester there for repairs. More
I've been treated exceptionally well at AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe. This was my first service on my Solterra and Isaiah Richards was a pleasure to work with. Took car in for not starting or hard starts. Was told it needed a new DCM, which would covered under warranty and I would get a new battery as well. Also received oil change and 30,000 mile main Was told it needed a new DCM, which would covered under warranty and I would get a new battery as well. Also received oil change and 30,000 mile maintenance. Checked battery two days later and noticed my old battery was still in car and not replaced. Had to go back to dealer for new battery. My concern, was new dcm even done. More
DO NOT SERVICE HERE. The worst experiences continue to happen with the service at this location. We had an oil change planned for today at 11am, see pic below. The car had an error code and they said they would do their best to get the diagnostics done. Not only did they fail to complete this in 6hrs of waiting, THEY NEVER CHANGED THE OIL!!!!! Incompetent is one word I would use to describe this place and the experience you will have. You have been warned. I would not write this but I have had several bad experiences here as they continue to NOT SHOOT YOU STRAIGHT. More
My recent visit for a simple oil and filter change plus multi point inspection was incredibly disappointing. First, after waiting for awhile, the staff told me that I had missed my 60 K major service accor multi point inspection was incredibly disappointing. First, after waiting for awhile, the staff told me that I had missed my 60 K major service according to their records. I currently have 83 K miles on my 2014 Outback. and told them that was incorrect and they had performed it and I would check my own records. They wanted to charge me $1,650 for the service. I declined because I knew it had already been done. Then they told me my battery was tested and was in “Critical “ condition” . I left and decided to go to Autozone for a battery check and saw them test it and it showed VERY GOOD condition. Furthermore, the multi-point inspection should have revealed I needed new wiper blades, but it didn’t. So, I bought new Bosch wipers for my car from Autozone since I noticed rubber hanging off one of them . Bottom line is I feel like the service technicians at AutoNation are just trying to upsell you on unneeded service to make more money. In other words, LYING TO ME. Finally, I have called AutoNation twice including to the General Manager to report my experience before doing anything on line.. RESULTS……..Crickets. More
Waleed was amazing! My Mom was in the hospital in Oklahoma and I needed to get my Subaru on the road ASAP.
